Have you reached a stage in life where you’d like to launch a second career?
Ecept this time around, you’re the one in charge?
You’re not alone. Over 35% of new businesses in the UK are started by people aged over 50*
And not only that: according to research by Penn State, they are nearly twice as likely to succeed as businesses started by people in their thirties.
But starting your own business can still be daunting, particularly if it’s something you’ve never tried before.
Which is where I can help.
I’ve spent the past 30 years creating innovative new products, ventures and brands across over 10 different sectors, from consumer goods to business services. I’ve managed every stage involved, from initial concept, strategy, design and branding, right through to fundraising, strategic artnerships, team development, marketing, distribution and management.
Along the way, I’ve enjoyed many successes, but I’ve made plenty of mistakes as well and so understand the many challenges involved.
And now I use all this knowledge and direct expereince to help people like you, so that you too can turn your ideas into a successful commercial reality.
This isn’t about introducing you to all the latest business theories and strategy jargon (although I’m familiar with most of it through the many business events I’ve run).
Instead, it’s about offereing practical advice and support from someone who has already walked the path you’re planning to follow and who can help you avoid many of the pitfalls and risks you might otherwise encounter.
It’s about helping to map out all the steps so you can successfully navigate the startup landscape and introducing you to tools and resources which can save you money and time.
Whether you already have a fully formed business idea in mind, or just need help clarifying how to develop a business from something you enjoy, I’d love to hear from you.
Simply click here to book a 15 minute conference call to talk through your ideas.
It’s completely free, with no obligation, and I promise I won’t try to sell you anything. I enjoy meeting people with ideas and ambitions and this could be that first important step towards developing your second successful career.

Ikigai
Ikigai is a term coined by the writer Héctor Garcia, co-author of the book ‘Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life’.
It refers to all the things which bring joy and meaning and is based upon 100 interviews with elderly residents of a village known for longevity. The term is often applied to achieving a successful work-life balance and Garcia created this Venn diagram to illustrate the concept.
